The calculation for vacation, for example is:
4.33 hrs x 26 pay periods =112.5 hrs divided by 7.5 = 15 days.
Vacation hours accrued are shown in the hours column, and added to the current vacation balance total at the far right hand side of the pay slip. The Year to Date total is the vacation accrual from Jan.1 to the end of the current pay period.
VAC1
Eligible hourly employees who are working less than 30 hours each week on a regular bi-weekly basis are paid vacation pay at a rate of 4% of their vacationable earnings.
VAC2
Eligible hourly employees who are working a minimum of 30 hours each week on a regular bi-weekly basis are paid vacation pay at a minimum rate of 6% to a maximum rate of 12% of their vacationable earnings based on their length of service.
